For Patients Who Cannot Receive Medical Care in Japanese

Our clinic does not have sufficient staff who can communicate in foreign languages. Depending on the situation and the language, we may be unable to assist you. Patients who cannot receive medical care in Japanese may not receive adequate care here. Because medical interpretation is highly specialized and its accuracy cannot be guaranteed, this applies whether or not you bring your own interpreter. As a rule, we therefore refer such patients to medical institutions that offer care in foreign languages, such as those listed by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).

If you still wish to be seen at our clinic, the following fees will be charged in addition to the medical fees, in line with the notice issued by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. We can only see patients who agree to these fees. Patients who do not hold a Japanese health insurance card will also be required to pay the full cost of treatment out-of-pocket.

These fees are charged separately from medical fees (insured or self-paid). You will be asked to sign a consent form at reception before your consultation. If you do not agree, we are unable to provide care at our clinic (except in emergencies).

日本語で診療ができない患者様の費用について

現在、当院では外国語で対応できるスタッフが不足しており、診療状況等によっては対応することができず、また、言語によっては対応が不可能となります。患者様ご本人が日本語で診療を受けられない場合には、十分な医療を行うことができない可能性がありますので、通訳の同伴の有無にかかわらず（医療用語の翻訳は専門性が高く正確性が担保できません）、当院では原則として診療を行っておらず、日本政府観光局（JNTO）等が公表している外国語での診療に対応可能な医療機関の受診をご案内しております。

以上を踏まえても、通訳が必要な患者様が当院での診療を希望される場合には、厚生労働省の通知を踏まえ、診療費とは別に、以下の通訳料その他費用をお支払いいただいております。下記の費用負担にご同意いただける方のみ、当院で診療いたします。ご同意いただけない場合は、当院での診療はお受けいたしかねます（緊急を要する場合を除く）。

• ① 日本語を理解できない患者様に対する医療通訳料（通訳同伴の有無にかかわらず）：11,000円（税込）／診察毎
• ② 診断書等の翻訳料、通訳料等、診療と直接関係のないサービスの実費など：22,000円（税込）／1通につき

※上記は保険診療・自費診療の診療費とは別にお支払いいただきます。受付で同意書にご署名いただいたうえで診療いたします。
